What do clients say about Vaidya Anita Misra?

My journey with Vaidya Anita began a little over a year ago. Back then, I had urgent diarrhea throughout the day which made it almost impossible to work. I had about six bowel movements each night which required me to wake up and go to the bathroom all night long. I was exhausted physically and emotionally. Vaidya Anita provided Ayurvedic recipes to nourish my weak body, slowly adding more nourishing recipes as my system acclimated. I learned the importance of preparing and eating fresh, local, organic, seasonal foods. She recommended a variety of Ayurvedic supplements that made an enormous difference in my wellbeing. I found that by listening to my inner self and using my intuition, I can heal my body by focusing on its basic needs. While healing my body, I also healed my mind. I was tired of being sick and my mind and soul suffered as a result. Thanks to Vaidya Anita I have a new outlook on life. It’s one that brings me closer to the earth, closer to my Self. I’ll continue to listen to my intuition as it guides me to better health. I now sleep through the night and have no nighttime bowel movements. All my BMs occur when I wake up in the morning. I will continue to work with Vaidya Anita as she helps lead me to wholeness and the subsequent happiness that comes from being healthy. I have had this condition for over twenty-five years. I have tried every solution that Western medicine offered, but the most profound and positive lasting effect has been achieved by working with Vaidya Anita.

Dr. Zamarra says: I had the opportunity to work with Vaidya Anita Misra in an Ayurvedic clinic in Los Angeles, a few years ago. Her knowledge of Ayurveda is quite profound, and impressive. Actually, I learned a lot from her myself. Also, she relates to patients very directly and personally, and I found she was very well liked, and her outcomes were exceptional. She handled some very difficult patients with very tough diagnosis that, with the addition of Ayurvedic therapies, really made significant improvement. She herself lives an exemplary Ayurvedic lifestyle, which makes her recommendations and her doctor-patient relationship all the more wholistic and healing and real. In my mind, she’s a true example of an Ayurvedic Vedic healer.

Kiran says: Dr. Misra is a wonderful Ayurvedic expert who has been helping my father manage his metabolic issues for about a year now.  Because she can speak to him in Hindi and also utilize knowledge of allopathic medicine, the sessions are very much personalized and tailored towards my father.  We have seen results in health, attitude more hopeful as well as lifestyle changes.  Her combination of patience and knowledge makes her a reliable practitioner.  As someone who has studied Ayurveda myself, she is also supportive and helpful in my journey.  I would highly recommend Dr. Misra to anyone seeking alternative forms of healthcare or even to supplement the care received from a Western doctor,
or otherwise!!!

What do clients say about Sattvic food?

Shauna says: Anita’s meals are deliciously and lovingly prepared. She makes you feel like family when she and her staff cook for you. Each dish has its own story and special blend of spices and fragrances, unique to her kitchen. The meals are an experience, as she gently teaches you about why the ingredients work together and how they harmoniously interact with your body’s nutritional needs and cravings. Her meals are a delight to my senses! Anita truly puts her heart into each dining experience!

I am extremely happy with her recommendations on herbal supplements, removing causative factors, adding herbal tea, taking Abhyanga and Sirodhara and personalized Sattvic Meal plans to improve my conditions. It is a great idea to get detailed instructions and procedure while cooking with Vaidya Anita. Sattvic meal plans recipes are based on the knowledge of Ayurveda to connect body mind and soul with the balance use of spices, fats such as ghee, lentils, millets, organic fresh produce etc. Hands on cooking with Vaidya Anita is informative, comforting, fun and yummy!! Highly recommend her for bringing balance in health.

What do students say about learning Ayurveda from Vaidya Anita?

Jan 2019, Y L, Student MAVIM MIU: I’ve had the privilege to work with Vaidya Anita in both the educational setting as well as the work aspect. She was my professor during my second year of Grad school, and she is so well organized, knowledgeable and a great communicator. During my time at the Los Angeles Doshi Center Clinic where she was the resident Vaidya, she was an absolute pleasure to work with. We made a great team and her passion, commitment and interactions with clients and students during clinical workshops were wonderful. Learning from her is so valuable and I highly recommend her expertise.

Oct 2020, J M, Student MAVIM MIU: Vaidya Anita Misra made an amazingly profound point when she described how reality changes when one moves along the continuum from surface to depth. Also on the same level, as we move horizontally, we move from one reality to another. I understand that this was most likely in reference to the picture “The Physiology Unfolding Sequentially from the Unified Field”, which we have seen a few times, and also to the video by President Hagelin we viewed about the difference in reality from the cosmic scale to the human scale to the quantum scale. However, I think this can be explored from an interrelation standpoint as well. As a MAV consultant, we will get to know different aspects of our client’s realities as we get to know them on a deeper level. Also, as time moves on and one ages, their reality will change immensely. I think it is important to recognize and consider this fluidity of reality between and within each person, because as she went on to mention, health is achieved through harmonious integration of all of the realities. Each aspect of reality will affect one’s health and Atma, whether it be a surface/deep aspect of their personality, or an aspect of reality from their infancy that they do not fully remember. Everything is related and integrated from the unified field to form our reality and expressions of ourselves.

2021, A C Student MAVIM MIU: Vaidya Anita was both expansive and succinct in the Webinar. I enjoyed her systematic approach of discussing Maharishi Ayurveda from the Macro – the Tri Stambha (Sharira, Sattva and Atma), to the Doshas (Physical and Mental) and then the Micro – reflected in the Gunas. Prior to the webinar, I had not felt clear in my understanding of the Gunas in relation to human physiology. However, I felt that this discussion crystallized my knowledge of the Gunas specifically when Vaidya Anita referenced the Gunas as opposites that contrast in quality. Conceptually, I am building the puzzle cascading from the Five Elements (Akasha, Vayu, Tejas, Apas and Prithivi) to the Doshas (both mental and physical) and down to the 20 Gunas. I am now identifying the Gunas in everything I see. The importance of balance resonates
with me profoundly as I can now fully grasp how, when imbalanced, the Doshas cause disturbance and turbulence whether in nature, space, human physiology and really anywhere and everywhere. It has also highlighted how elevating our consciousness, as human beings, will enable us to see the power we have to make the positive shifts, to integrate more fully and to attain balance and ultimately peace and bliss.
